We first learned about chloroquine in mid-February, when Sun Yanrong, the deputy head of the China National Center for Biotechnology Development, announced that it was one of three drugs that the Chinese had successfully used to treat coronavirus. For a month, the media thought chloroquine could be the answer.
Everything changed, though, on March 20 when, in a press conference, President Trump said he was optimistic that chloroquine would be a magic bullet against coronavirus:
But I will say that I am a man that comes from a very positive school when it comes to, in particular, one of these drugs. And we'll see how it works out, Peter. I'm not saying it will, but I think that people may be surprised.
Almost instantly, the media stopped touting chloroquine’s potential and, instead, threw shade on the medicine.
As always, when it comes to the media’s obsessive need to contradict Trump, the media were wrong. It was the hopeful Trump who was correct. A new study from the French doctor on the forefront of coronavirus treatment shows that 97.5% of patients who received hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin improved (emphasis added):
Indeed, the chloroquine and azithromycin treatment was so successful that Dr. Raoult refused to use a control group. He believed that doing so would be unethical insofar as it would deny people a proven life-saving treatment.
And Trump once again scores against a hostile media.

One can always judge the potential truth of any Trump statement by taking the inverse of the media’s reaction.
Example: Large media negative reaction = almost certain that Trump is correct.
Why? Because media - who liveth not on the right side of the Bell curve (yup, two meanings there, and both twue, twue).

They could do a test of a thousand volunteers in New York, stratified by stage of the disease, risk, etc. If the predictions of substantial reduction in the course of the disease were true, they’d know within a week if it was effective. Everyone in the country not given the treatment would be the control group.

At this point the media and Trumphaters are causing Americans to die unnecessarily.
There’s gonna be some totally awesome class action lawsuits in a month or two.
Trump was also right about controlling our borders and bringing production back to America.
This article gets it right. The media turned against this drug because Trump promoted it. So, they want people to die rather than give Trump credit.
If was not apparent before, now it is abundantly clear: Democrats and the media had rather you die than Trump be right.
The media has a poor record of getting anything right and a great record of producing huge amount of lies.

Progressives love death. They love of abortions. They love illicit drug use overdoses. They love messed up people (homosexuals, druggies, sex-confused youths, the sick) committing suicide. They especially love anything that makes old white guys die.
FOILED AGAIN!!!
That’s what the liberal media and democrats will say if the drugs are approved and prove to be as effective as advertised by those that have already used it effectively.
It will seem as if Trump is bullet proof to them.
and it’s even more apparent as we see the Dem governors prohibiting it in their states! I’m so thankful I live in a red state! (even though we came close with Stacy Abrams nearly stealing the governorship!)
