Having read statements from Pelosi and others that POTUS was negligent in addressing the crisis, I searched the internet and put together this timeline. It took about 30 minutes.
Dec. 31, 2019: Chinese officials in Wuhan in China’s central Hubei province confirmed dozens of cases of pneumonia from an unknown cause.
Jan. 11: China reported its first known death from an illness caused by the coronavirus. The patient was a 61-year-old man in Wuhan.
January 14: WHO said there may have been human-to-human transmission of the virus, Reuters reported.
January 15: Li Qun, head of the Chinese Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) emergency center, claims the risk of human-to-human transmission is “low,” the Journal reported.
January 17: After 12 days, the Wuhan Municipal Health Commission started giving daily updates on new cases of the coronavirus.
January 18: Despite the presence of the coronavirus, Wuhan holds a “potluck” banquet for 40,000 families to try and break a world record, The New York Times reported.
Jan. 21: The United States announced its first confirmed coronavirus case — a man in his 30s in Washington state
Jan. 23: China placed Wuhan, a city of 11 million people, under quarantine orders. All flights and trains departing from the city were canceled, and buses, subways and ferries within the city were suspended.
January 23: Wuhan is finally locked down, even though about 5 million people had already left the city without being screened by that time.
Jan. 30: WHO declared the outbreak a global public health emergency as more than 9,000 cases were reported worldwide, including in 18 countries beyond China.
January 31: President Trump Bans Travel from China, Orders 1st Quarantine in 50 Years
Please let me add one thing
February 5, Senate votes on whether or not to remove President Trump from office.
Tapper has been surprisingly fair as of late. CNN contract up and looking to jump to FOX?
Maybe the President should be authorized to appoint Mayor Czars to oversee each Progressive Mayor in the US who is not mentally or morally capable of performing the functions of the office.
When De Bozo told New Yorkers it was OK to bunch up, the Mayor Czar could have stepped in and Directed De Bozo to start self distancing and quarantines.
When the NO Mayor decided to go on with Mardi Gras, the Mayor Czar could have stepped in and cancelled it because of the infection probabilities.
CNN’s Jake Tapper set up the New York City Mayor by playing clip after clip of him telling New Yorkers to just go about their business up until a few weeks ago.
The timeline is good, but it does not mention the earlier dates where the CCP was aware of this and hid it and covered it up threatening those expressing public concern. It does not mention where they told the WHO everything was ok and refused entry to international health specialists who wanted to collect data on the virus. It does not mention where they were told in 2005 and 2007 (think those are the dates) that wet markets could spread pandemics and they refused to act. It does not mention that the Cult of Xi had a motive to make the Wuhan officials (not in the cult of Xi) look bad.
In short - they could have prevented it and did not by allowing the wet markets to continue.
They could have acted much sooner and shared data with the rest of the world in an effort to contain it. They did not.
They lied about it and as a result travel to and from China continued spreading it around the world.
This would not have been a 10T dollar crisis had they acted appropriately from the beginning.
Despite all of this, we are treated to a daily parade of mediots and left-wing pols blaming Trump after they labeled him a racist for the travel ban long before they realized what was happening.....
Odd to see someone on CNN being honest... or calling a democrat on the carpet.
I made the big mistake and watched CNN for a little while. I can see why people that only watch CNN are disappointed in Trump. They lied or distorted everything Trump’s has done or said. This is the first and last time Don Lemon will ever be seen in this house.
