I do not see China starting a war now and certainly not using the Wuhan virus as it’s excuse. I don’t think the author has studied Chinese and Asian history enough. Yes, China’s arrogance is growing bolder in some ways, but no, in my view, it is not going to start a war at this time.

I agree. There is too much interdependence now in our economies. China is pushing, hard to get their economy going again. People are back at work. The government is approving EVERY project that's been on hold for environmental review.

The new 5 year plan is coming soon. I doubt it includes "war with the US".

That said, I could seen them trying to flex their muscles in the South China Sea. Maybe some shots get exchanged. Just to show they are not afraid. For public consumption at home, of course.
