The White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) has announced that it is expelling One America News network (OAN) from the briefing room following a report that its correspondent Chanel Rion gained access by circumventing the process and attending as a “guest” of White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham.
In a statement, the WHCA explained that it has limited access to the room in order to comply with social distancing guidelines, and that the available seats are rotated between various outlets. But the WHCA says OAN’s correspondent twice showed up despite it not being their turn.
“We did this because a reporter for this outlet twice attended press briefings in contravention of this policy.”
On Monday Rion asked, “Do you consider the use of the term ‘Chinese food’ racist? Because it’s food that originates in China and has roots in China? And on that note. Major left-wing news media, even in this room, have teamed up with Chinese Communist Party narratives, and they are claiming that you are racist for making these claims about Chinese virus. Is it alarming that major media players, just to oppose you, are consistently siding with foreign state propaganda, Islamic state radicalism, Latin gangs and cartels? And they work right here at the White House with direct access to you and your team.”
At Tuesday’s briefing, Rion asked about how many clinical trials the administration would want to see for hydroxychloroquine — an antimalarial drug Trump has championed for fighting the coronavirus based on anecdotal results — before the government put its stamp of approval on it. The president didn’t field the question, instead deferring to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert and a member of the task force.
And let’s see if Trump lets the WHCA over-rule his press secretary - or vice versa.
I know there is likely a seniority rule, but I would MUCH RATHER see OAN news coverage, than hear another syllable from ACOSTA again.
They should sue. That worked for Jim Acosta.

Start removing a chair each day this petty crap continues.

The MSM is banding together to prevent one of the few, legitimate news organizations from attending the WH briefings. This situation may require a presidential intervention for rectification.

Nah, Acosta sued the White House, this is the correspondents association. I really would like them to be over ruled by the White House.

So let me get this straight. Trump expels Acosta for assaulting a White House staff member and he MUST be allowed back in. But not this reporter because she doesn’t toe the line? The President should give her access and tell these people to screw off.
She called out the Chinese shills. She turned the light of truth on them. The Chinese whores have hit back.
