I think you are right.

A lot of Republican “Never Trumpers” would be comfortable voting for Biden. Amash gives them an “out”.

Correct. The votes going to him would be the Never Trumpers and those on the left who aren’t happy with Biden. These are not Trump voters. Never were. Too much out there about vast numbers of independents and former Dems (and even a few who voted 3rd party last time) who are voting Trump this time - and the China thing, bringing manufacturing home, has been in his wheelhouse since 2016. It’s going to be a winning issue (if he needed another one). Also his track record.

Nope, we have FReepers here that think this A-hole is great.

He would take just enough conservatives votes to give Biden the win. No liberals would vote for him.
