Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer ordered on Monday the creation of a task force to investigate why the novel coronavirus has disproportionately affected the state’s African-American community.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted communities of color throughout our state,” Whitmer, a Democrat, said in her executive order. “For example, while African Americans represent 13.6 percent of our state’s population, they represent a staggering 40 percent of the deaths from COVID-19.”
Whitmer’s task force will investigate and study strategies to address the disparity as well as the historical and systematic inequalities pertaining to race that have amplified the death rate in the state’s black community.

So, what is the cause of a higher proportionate share of blacks than others being killed by COVID-19? Is is racism on the part of doctors treating COVID-19 patients? Is is that the Chinese developed a racist disease? Is it that racists are secretly planting Covid-19 virus sample in Blacks homes while they sleep? How about none of the above.
Maybe we should investigate why such a high percentage of old people die of Covid-19. After all the elderly are a protected class as well. It would make about as much sense.
in the USA over 1/3 of the adult population is obese, and another 1/3 is overweight.
So, is she going to force the virus to kill all races equally?

Diseases of the lungs, particularly pneumonia, are very hard on the obese. The extra body mass requires additional oxygen, not to mention the physical effort required for respiration.
Dear Governor take a look at this statistic. It is Obesity combined with underlying health conditions. It is not racism. It may be poverty, but that is something else.
