I am guessing more modeling than testing, because there is very little mention of the latter.

• There's absolutely no evidence that lock downs work, so Sweden is just going to wreck their economy for nothing.

• They are almost to herd immunity, why would they stop now?
• Their fatality rate to population is still less than Italy. (I didn't check that)

It’s hitting their migrant community pretty hard. I believe Somalis make up .5% of population and 30% of covid deaths.
People believe this is probably cultural, minority groups with low trust in institutions are not heeding govt instructions. The migrants also live in much denser housing, ie how many people in a flat. But the rest of Sweden isn’t experiencing the Stockholm numbers.

The US has had 30,000+ new cases four times in the last nine days, among the highest since the epidemic began. In the last three days we've had our highest daily death total yet, as well as the fifth and sixth highest totals.

It's at least six months too early to draw any definite conclusions about the relative wisdom of our differing approaches. Sweden is trying to develop herd immunity now; we are postponing it.

It’s working out great in Sweden. Most of the deaths aren’t caused by CV. Also, it is by design that the deaths will be front end loaded. That is what they are trying for. You can’t postpone the inevitable spread of the largely harmless CV.
