Washington (AFP) - US President Donald Trump was repeatedly warned about the dangers of the novel coronavirus in intelligence briefings in January and February, The Washington Post reported late Monday.
The warnings -- more than a dozen included in classified briefings known as the President's Daily Brief -- came during a time the president was mostly downplaying the threat of a COVID-19 pandemic.
The Post, citing unnamed current and former US officials, said the warnings were contained in the daily classified summary of the most important global issues and security threats.
For weeks, the Daily Briefs traced the spread of the virus, said that China was suppressing information about the virus's lethality and ease of transmission, and mentioned the frightful political and economic consequences, the Post said.
The president, who officials told the Post often does not read the briefings and bristles at having to listen to oral summaries, failed to mobilize for a major pandemic.
Trump did restrict travel between the United States and China in late January, but he spent most of the following month downplaying the threat.
He did not declare a national emergency over the coronavirus pandemic until March 13, as the stock market plummeted and virus cases were on the rise in New York.

They really are very good at what they do and once you kind of have an idea you can begin to “see their fingerprints”. For instance, I don’t know if anyone else noticed but if you have been following the # new Deaths daily, remember there was a day when they just arbitrarily threw 3,000 deaths in one day into the curve? Remember how suddenly all those BIG bars that seemed so horrifying just because little teeny bars just like “that”? Because of that one day. And then several days later when the narrative had changed form “it’s the end of the damn world” to “it’s just a flu” they took that big spike out again and didn’t even acknowledge it had ever been there.
When you realize “they” are out there and you have a “clue” as to how “they” operate you can start to see things that aren’t delusions.
Gosh, this sounds familiar. Where have I heard it before?

It is all there is. I don’t watch television, but my wife does, and it is 24x7 which I gather they break up now and again with a story about someone taking care of pets of victims or a little kid reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
At least that is what I gather in the few seconds as I walk by the television on my way around the house they want me to stay in.

Well he started the Coronavirus task force on January 29 and banned travel form China on Jan 31. I assume he was warned before he started the task force. And as far as Feb is concerned by that time the virus was public knowledge. So a warning would be too late. They were warning him of something he already knew about and was dealing with.
Exactly! What did France do to "prep" for the china virus?
The impeachment panel tried to tell him and he WOULD NOT LISTEN!
