Nancy Pelosi is at it again with another attempt to force Americans to fund abortions in legislation meant to help people dealing with the averse effects of the coronavirus. This time, Pelosi and House Democrats are wanting to fund abortions under legislation that’s supposed to help Americans who are unemployed and needing health insurance coverage.
Pelosi is so dedicated to promoting abortion and forcing Americans to fund killing babies in abortion that, earlier this year, she was caught trying to add taxpayer financing of abortions to the bill to combat the Coronavirus and provide economic stimulus to the nation as it deals with the COVD-19 outbreak.
Now, Pelosi and her Democratic colleagues are threatening to scuttle a possible bipartisan deal to provide health insurance for unemployed Americans. As The Hill reports:
Republicans have expressed openness to a Democratic proposal to provide subsidies to help millions of people who are losing their jobs stay on their old employers’ health insurance plans under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, commonly known as COBRA, according to congressional aides and others familiar with the talks.
But Republicans say the new funding needs to include the Hyde Amendment or another restriction on federal money going toward health plans that cover abortion, an idea Democrats oppose.
Including protections for health coverage in the next coronavirus response package is gaining urgency given that a staggering 30 million people have filed for unemployment in the past six weeks, many of whom will also be losing their employer-based health insurance in the middle of a pandemic.
“The life issue is a huge holdup,” said a Senate GOP aide. “It’s not clear that we can overcome that holdup since both sides feel dug in at this point.”
Anti-abortion groups are also putting pressure on Congress. “It is definitely a priority,” said Mallory Quigley, a spokeswoman for the anti-abortion group Susan B. Anthony List.
Naturally, Pelosi and top Democrats don’t want any part of pro-life limit son forcing Americans to fund abortions.
Asked about the dispute, a senior Democratic aide said, “Now is no time for unrelated Republican ideological obsessions, trying to rewrite Americans’ private health insurance plans to insert their anti-women agenda in the middle of a crisis.”
Americans who don’t want to have their tax dollars used to fund killing babies in abortions should speak up now and contact their member of Congress here. Killing babies with our tax dollars is not the answer to the coronavirus and the situation should not be exploited for political gain.

Every time this (or similar) has been suggested, there is the follow-up lecture about how it wouldn’t be legal or moral. So, I guess this means we’re supposed to live with the evil foisted on the planet by those on the left.
Nancy should just give up on this and her progressive dreams of mail-in voting. But she won’t.

So if someone is laid off and needs assistance with paying their Cobra premiums, and if their company’s healthcare plan happened to covered abortions, then even though they are not looking to get an abortion and may not even have been aware their plain covered them the unemployed person is out of luck and left without coverage?
