I will say-I have been willing to be patient in how all this unfolds. Probably most people don’t remember, but I remember back in 1972-1974 when the whole Watergate thing was going down.
It didn’t just happen. There was a steady, constant for two years, drip-drip-drip of the thing going on, then near the end it really started to take off.
But this is taking far longer than I thought it would to see SOMEONE take a hit on it.
Yes, but Watergate targeted Nixon, the Trump of the 1970’s.
You can’t compare the slow drip of Spygate to the slow drip leading up to Watergate... both were slow drips, but for opposite reasons.
The only reason it took so long for the media to brew Watergate into a scandal was because a mountain had to be made out of a mole hill.
Spygate is different - what Obama did was no mole hill - Obama’s abuse of power was scandalous from the beginning and didn’t need to be “ginned up” by the media.
The difference is that the fake news media works just as hard to bury a Democrat scandal as it works to invent a Republican one.
Bottom line: I would NOT assume that since a nothingburger Watergate break-in took years to brew into the political scandal of a lifetime, therefore we can expect that the Spygate story is following a similar timeline.
Not even close - the fake news monopoly gets to decide what becomes a scandal and what doesn’t, and they are 100% in the tank for the Democrats.
