Recusal was not required by law. He did nothing to determine if he actually had a conflict of interest. He just turned the reigns of power over to Trumps enemies. Putz. I hope he loses by triple digits.

he never had to recuse himself...it was an intelligence investigation, not criminal. Kamala Harris had Sessions shaking like a leaf at one hearing....terrible pick for A.G.

I still say he should have resigned when he recused. He left Trump open for a broadside. I used to like Sessions. He was my senator. But his AG behavior made me understand he is just a run-of-the-mill swamp creature.
