Protesters angered by the death of George Floyd, a handcuffed black man who died while in police custody, gained access to a Minneapolis police precinct on Thursday, the third straight night of violent protests spreading beyond the city.
Livestream video showed the protesters entering the building, where fire alarms blared and sprinklers ran as blazes were set.
Dozens of businesses across the Twin Cities were boarding up their windows and doors Thursday in an effort to prevent looting, with the Minneapolis-based Target announcing it was temporarily closing two dozen area stores. Minneapolis shut down nearly its entire light-rail system and all bus service through Sunday out of safety concerns.

The good people in Minneapolis neighborhoods need to pack up and get out... soon property values will drop, violent crime will skyrocket and stores will disappear.

Not that many, as noted above, but we did see some weird stuff that was entirely aside from the looting mobs.
I’ve been watching the videos from, well, ‘professional interest’ for lack of a better term. The looters are mostly black as you say, but the people actually breaking in and burning things have a surprisingly high white component. AntiFa is reportedly highly active in this too.
While I agree that these type should be shot on sight, my experience is that mostly what shooting a few does at this point in a major riot’s development (unless you are the National Guard) is simply make the rest of the mobs displace elsewhere. They don’t just go home or disperse.
Earlier in the process it might have helped.

I’ve heard similar accounts from others, and I know from both personal observation and media coverage that there were black storeowners defending their property and businesses as well. The mobs weren’t exactly checking to see who owned a store as the riot developed. I think the media ended up focusing on us ‘roof campers’ because we were the most visible from the air and ground. It certainly wasn’t “just Asians” defending their stuff.
