I don’t get it. Trump has a 48.6% chance of election, and Biden 43%?

Don’t the two percentages have to add up to 100%? Is there any other candidate who has a chance of being elected?

Isn’t there a 100% chance that either Trump or Biden or going to be elected?

I understand this is a gambling site however are we saying that close to 10% of betters are laying money down that someone besides Trump or Biden or going to be elected?

No. There are other possibilities in addition to Trump, Biden and the long-shot Libertarian and Green Party candidates.

It could still be PTBNL (A player to be named later).

Trump will be 74 years old on Election Day and Biden 77.

70-somethings pay a lot more for their life insurance than 20-somethings, for a reason.

And while the odds are that Biden will make it to Election Day, his mind may not. In addition, something completely unforeseen, like the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs, can always happen.

The oddsmakers know it's not 100%.
