A man reportedly died on Saturday after being dragged by a FedEx truck in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, during a night of protests and riots.
Police said the incident occurred just after 3:00 a.m. near N. Broadway and O’Fallon, when protesters blocked off the street and surrounded the truck, according to KMOV.
Footage captured by bystander Jared Arms showed the moment, beginning at 26:56 in the video, when the group began banging on the truck’s windows.

How many packages of legal and business documents would you have to tear through before you found anything worth stealing from a FedEx truck? Wasn’t there a jewelry or phone store nearby for them to rob, with the added bonus that the store would remain stationary?
FEDEX Truck was not a White, they went out of business.
The driver was pulling doubles. The rioter may have been trying to immobilize the tractor trailer combination by yanking the air lines between the trailers. The driver had to figure that they could have pulled him out of the cab and killed him if he didn’t keep going. The rioter apparently lost his balance as a result and got snagged on the converter dolly between the front and rear trailers.
I’m a truck driver, too. I’m in favor of a driver doing what’s necessary to get home alive.
That is a FedEx Ground truck and it hauls things other than business documents. When you see FedEx Express trucks, those a for small parcel and documents. FedEx Ground trucks the equivalent of Amazon trucks.

The rioters were trying to open the cargo doors on the front trailer and squeeze in there to steal stuff, when one of them got snagged on something and dragged. This was the passenger side, between the trailers - no way the driver would've seen what was going on. Other video from that area showed the crowd opening the back of an Amazon truck and looting it, too.

I looked at the videos from three different posts that showed a brown double trailer with UPS very plainly on the side. I don’t “see” FedEx just because a headline says that is what it is.
