Chief Jami Resch (2nd from left) and Capt. Chuck Lovell met late Sunday with three protest representatives but their meeting was cut short when violence flared outside the Justice Center, Resch said.

The chief said she was proud of the moment earlier Sunday when officers outside the Justice Center agreed to some protesters’ requests to drop to their knees in the street, calling it a moment of “solidarity’’ and “understanding.’’

But she said the late-evening vandalism to the federal courthouse and the Multnomah County courthouse was disturbing.

A police chief without a clue about human nature. She must have gone to the finest liberal institutions.

I don’t have a problem with the police kneeling.

That they made such a strong overture and it not making a difference, shows pretty clearly that the rioting really is unrelated to Floyd, and that the rioters will not be appeased.

I wonder if anyone ran criminal warrant check on any of
these three “protest representatives”. I bet not.

Law enforcement should never take the side or be sympathetic to a group of protestors or their cause.

Wait wasn’t a cop dropping to his knees what caused this to begin with?

NYC police higher-ups (in the white shirts) were knealing in front of protesters to show their solidarity. Do they ever show solidarity for Patriots when they rally for their Constitutional rights to Life and Liberty?

Must have learned it from Obama. Kneel with them, bow to them, send them money. You can trust them.

By the way J girl, take a look over your shoulder and you’ll your once beautiful city (and the Rose City WAS once beautiful) going up in flames.

This is both moronic and dangerous.

We have yet to be shown that George Floyd’s death had anything to do with race. Maybe it was, but since we don’t have proof of that, they really should refrain from letting these thieves and terrorists get away with their mayhem under the guise of “racial protests.”

It just seems like the slop jar (honey pot for some of you!) has had it’s lid removed and all the contents have been kicked over onto our country! Time to clean it up. This is going to spread if we don’t get a handle on it!

Is it wrong to pray that Portland slips into the Pacific ocean during the next big earthquake?

Yes, considering that Portland is about 100 miles or so from the Pacific. Praying that it slips into the Willamette or Columbia Rivers would be far more reasonable.
