Before Ahmaud Arbery was fatally shot, the three men charged in his murder engaged in an elaborate chase, hitting the unarmed black man with a truck before the killing, a Georgia Bureau of Investigation agent testified Thursday during preliminary hearings.
As Travis and Greg McMichael attempted to head him off, Arbery turned and ran past the truck of William Bryan, who filmed the killing, and Bryan struck Arbery with the side of his truck, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Richard Dial said.
Investigators found a swipe from a palm print on the rear door of Bryan's truck, cotton fibers near the truck bed that "we attribute to contact with Mr. Arbery" and a dent below the fibers, he said.

This is why the driver that shot the video of Arbery being shot was charged.
It was what the GBI said while under oath.
They were trying to get back the items he stole form the construction site.

Just today we learn that junior used a racial slur after the shooting.
Now we hear that he was “hit by a truck”?
This changes everything for me. Based on what we’ve been told, The Jogger initiated the assault. But - if he was hit by the truck - then yeah. He was justified in hitting Junior.
But as I’ve always said - I’ll wait for more evidence before I make up my mind.

It would be a vast understatement to say that this new information seriously complicates matters for the defense(s).
It was Bryan who spilled the beans on Junior using a racial slur.
The GBI is just using him to get the dirt on the McM’s.
I hope he got a full immunity deal. From the State AND the Feds. Cause they WILL go after him with federal hate crime violations.
If it happened, it happened farther up the road before he began filming, and before Arbery ran around the side of the pick-up. The video starts somewhere back up the road, and he’s driving down a tree-lined road. It isn’t until he gets closer to the pick-up that you see Arbery ahead, and at one point the guy filming swerves right, but was Arbery already ahead of him by then? I can’t remember exactly.
Kind of dumb to run into a truck when you’re being chased by killers.
Coming from the guy with the thumbscrews being tightened to force him to testify against them. Sure he did.
I won't call it "learned" until it's been proven, and I don't put much credibility in this post hoc commentary from a guy whom the state is torturing to force him to do their will.
They arrested him on ridiculous charges. I won't believe a d@mn thing he says that supports the state's case. It's in his own best interest to say whatever they want him to say.
And these pieces of sh*t at the GBI found this "evidence" nearly three months after the incident? Bullsh*t.

It's a vast overstatement to say that this is "information." It's narrative.

Unless the driver admits he hit the guy with his truck, I think it's made up speculation to promote their narrative.
