A bit. They wont disband them. The problem is that paramedics and fire departments are also tied to them. Fires burning out of control because firemen wont risk their lives in hostile areas and the same goes for paramedics. The situation isn’t governable. I see no point in hording guns since they arent used. Its like hording toilet paper, serves no purpose if there is no food. Gun owners are going to have to unite and face the facts, all the crap you have for an arsonal is just that, crap. You dont wait for the enemy to come to the gats, you kill them on the outskirts of the city. Its time for all of us to unite and defend the cops!

There are power structures in those cities that have existed since before the current politicians' grandparents were born - now mostly in the form of unions. The people who actually run those cities are not just going to just shrug and go become Uber drivers. It'll turn into an ugly internecine fight on the left, with high probability of serious bloodshed. For now, the "disband the police" comments are just playing to the agitated crowd.
