How Donald Trump’s campaign team is like Hillary Clinton’s: Michael Goodwin
New York Post ^ | 6-13-2020 | Michael Goodwin

Trump Land is not a happy place. With the nation deeply unsettled and polls headed south, the first shots are being fired in a Republican shootout in a lifeboat. There’s a move afoot to boot the campaign manager, as insiders tell The Post’s Ebony Bowden that Brad Parscale is not up to the job. “There’s no strategy, there’s no messaging,” one complained.

Interesting. Brad Parscale was on shaky ground anyway.

On 1/1/20 Trump had a lock. The campaign was set. Then the virus, then that moron cop kills Floyd and the Antifa switch got thrown. It is no wonder the campaign is seeking the new way forward. Trumps lock is gone. The MSM has renewed power. At this point I still think Trump is a slight favorite, especially with the rats trying to push someone with Alzheimer’s across the finish line. Trump’s instincts are excellent and he will find the way to reset the campaign to the new realities. Step one is this week’s rally unless the rats get a hack judge to block it “in the interest of public safety”.

Parscale is behind the 75 emails and text messages campaign donors get because they haven't sent anything in the last 15 minutes right?

I have no idea what Trump's message is for the nation. He keeps talking about the same things that were talking points in January but what about NOW with covid-19 still activity & trying to rebound the economy with riot & lotting.

Twitter wars are not doing any good. He absolutely needs a strategy for the nation. If he can't make a decision, he doesn't need to be in that office any longer.

I will say I watched Biden's eulogy for KKK member Robert Byrd when Biden was VP and he was coherent and sharp enough. He's aged a LOT mentally in the intervening years.

I remember reading that operatives would plant stories in the LA Times during Reagan's Presidency to get his attention since that was his amongst his favorite newspapers.

This seems like a poorly written story and I don't doubt that the President has a lot on his plate and may not be über focused on the campaign given the raucous state of the nation. I also think it is a LONG way to November and the Dems are literally one televised debate debacle away from Biden's propped-up poll numbers imploding. Of course then they'll have Creepy Joe declared disabled and hand-pick a replacement but I think it'll be too late then.

Perhaps Trump is partial to the Post and this is a trial balloon.

Internal upheavals in a campaign is nothing new. This is the time of an election year when weaknesses and personalities are dealt with. It’s still 2 months from the convention and 5 until the election. All of the rough spots will be addressed in due course.

That is, of course, if you believe the trolls and media who are pedaling this nonsense. Use logic...why are these “reports” of “turmoil in the campaign”, and “lacking a message” showing up now? It’s because COVID has failed and the petulant hissy fit in Seattle is going to be another Dem debacle. They’re running a candidate who authored the crime bill and today can string a coherent sentence together. The Dems are toast and they know it. Their only hope is voter suppression/depression with non-stop bad news. Trump is still on message, just like always...don’t let fake polling and an “all in” media sway you.

“””Parscale is behind the 75 emails and text messages campaign donors get because they haven’t sent anything in the last 15 minutes right?”””

About two weeks ago I started receiving a dozen or more emails each day from various GOP leaders and the GOP itself.

When I looked at the url address the email was being sent from, none of the emails came from the GOP or its leaders.

I have concluded the ‘dirty tricksters’ (Democrats, China, Antifa, BLM and many other parties) are bombarding conservatives and Republicans with these fictitious emails in order to alienate Trump from his voter base.

Every time some supposed conservative or Republican explains why he or she can’t vote for President Trump, I wonder if they have thought about the alternative – the Biden-Schumer-Pelosi machine.

Our choice in November will not be between President Trump and President Perfection. It will be between President Trump and a nightmare that would end America as we have known it.

Newt Gingrich: If Biden, Pelosi and Schumer are in charge in 2021 get ready for this nightmare

Fox News ^ | 6/13/20 | Newt Gingrich
Posted on 6/14/2020, 7:24:52 AM by Evil Slayer

If former Vice President Joe Biden wins, it means the turnout in favor of Democrats will be such that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., remains leader of a Democratic majority in the House. It also means that Democrats will almost certainly gain control of the Senate, making Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., the majority leader.’

Given control of all three instruments of power, what would the Biden-Schumer-Pelosi team do?

This is not a question that requires wild speculation. As I outlined in a series of podcasts at Gingrich 360, Pelosi’s $3 trillion HEROES (Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions) Act – ostensibly designed to help our economy recover from the coronavirus downturn – by itself contains enough radicalism to be terrifying.

First, I urge President Trump to run like he is 15 (honest) points down in the state votes.

Why the state votes. . . that is where the election is decided because of the genius of the Electoral Collage.

With that said, I must take issue with the reasoning in this article. I live here in EU land and the expats about me are all rather poorly informed by the echo chamber that goes with modern culture. Only a few of us are sane and by that I mean we are able to have reasoned discourse and even if we are diametrically opposed in opinion we still show respect and remain friends. Not so the vast majority of low-information voters.

They are convinced that Trump is gone. Why. . . because he has the popular vote. The popular vote and $3.50 might get you a cheap coffee at Starbucks but it won't win the presidency. They don't understand this because they have never been taught basic US history and civics. Sad but I look forward to November when again I will enjoy watching election porn as the snowflakes and tofu crowd cry their hears out and shout ‘It's not fair’.

Still all of us need to rally the troops and get out the vote. Like I said at the start. . . Act as though Mr. Trump was down 15 points in your state and get to work.

Keep the faith.

"Twitter wars are not doing any good. He absolutely needs a strategy for the nation."

I agree that he needs to communicate better and more specifically at this point in time. MAGA isn't going to be enough. He should neutralize the left's messaging by being out in front of all of this, addressing the nation directly. As much as the media hate it, he does have a bully pulpit, and he needs to use it as he has before.

I personally think he should have a series of talks to the nation in which he delineates:

1. The vast majority of police are good people from our own communities who are trying to protect us and we should help and appreciate them.

2. That like all professions, there are bad apples, and we need to put rules and mechanisms in place to prevent the hiring of them, and to help identify and get rid of them if they do get hired.

3. That despite the huge progress made in race relations in the past 70 years, the past two decades have seen us go backwards, and that this is a crucial issue that must be addressed, or our children will grow up in a much more divisive and unsafe world.

4. That to address this, we need an open national dialogue in which forging an understanding and a way forward takes definitive importance - and political correctness is put in the back seat, so as to allow substantive voicing of grievances and perceptions from all sides.

5. That fanning hatred by using racial, socioeconomic, and cultural differences to 'divide and counquer' is a highly irresponsible and destructive political tool that his administration and the Republican Party will NOT participate in.

etc.

Sorry, I don’t buy any of this garbage.

First, in 2016, Trump had FIVE campaign managers: Lewandowski, Manafort, Bannon, Parscale, and Conway. Each had a very specific job.

I think Trump is riding Parscale for a while before naming a “strategist.” Word is he brought Rove in, but I can’t see that lasting longer than a Manafort-type very specific purpose. Don’t know what that is.

I won’t be surprised if Bannon is not brought back.

But the tales of “turmoil” and “chaos” in the “Trump campaign” are crap. We get them every month or so.

You and I are watching different campaigns.

First, there will ONLY be “twitter wars” because that is the only venue left for the President when you have a total lock by the left on television. But that’s all Trump needs.

Merely the fact that his latest rally has drawn a THIRD OF A MILLION requests to attend is pretty darn good evidence that not much has changed in campaign enthusiasm.

I suspect many here, as they did in 2016, are watching far too many Hoax News Polls.

In June 2020, one poll has Biteme up 14. In June 2016, one poll had Cankles up . . . 14. Same thing, different year.

I looked at 160 polls in 2015 and 2016. Only 30 had Trump up, with a max of 4 points after July 2015. about 125 had Cankles up, with leads of 14, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, and so on. A few ties.

I then looked at state polls, same time June 2016: Battleground states, again, Cankles always up, often by HUGE margins.

I never lost Trump’s “strategy for the nation.” It’s MAGA, it’s America First, and he has been 100% successful in slashing illegal immigration, in turning around trade and in avoiding foreign wars. The economy IS rapidly coming back DESPITE the China Virus & rioting. Remember in the 1960s we had TEN YEARS of rioting, and still managed to outproduce all our enemies.

Trump will likely have a few shuffles before November. In 2016, he really had five different “managers” at different points, maybe six if you count Kushner.

News to discourage voting.
By Nov 3 rd it will be news to scare people from the polls.
Food for the concern trolls.

I remember all during the 2016 campaign how folks here bitched and moaned about how "disorganized" Trump's campaign was and how Trump was "in over his head." For months, people were claiming that Ted Cruz was going to somehow steal all his delegates because Trump just didn't know what he was doing.

I'm not worried about Trump for 2020.
