without a mask works out more like 20-30’ with one.
I’m not convinced I can’t infect someone walking by, but
then I’m not just walking by people. I’m interacting with

really...? to give someone a simple head cold, you must breathe on them; how many people obviously suffering from colds do you think have walked by you in your life and not infected you...?

There’s been no science released either way if casual passage can result in infection. There is some evidence masks help and the Massachusetts’ mandate coincides with a significant drop in cases in the state.
