As the fog pushed through the Golden Gate Bridge on Friday evening, hundreds of swimmers jumped into the chilly waters of San Francisco Bay in a unique show of support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
Gathered as a massive group in the waters of Aquatic Park, the protestors' swim cap-topped heads bobbed in the gently rolling ocean, spreading a rainbow of colors.
In unison, they chanted, "No peace, no justice," "Say her name. George Floyd," and "I can't breathe."
Their resounding cries carried to the beach, up to Ghirardelli Square and across Fisherman's Wharf.
The Swim Out in Solidarity event at Aquatic Park was among the more unusual rallies. Organized by members of the Dolphin and South End Rowing clubs, it challenged participants to stay in the water for 8 minutes, 46 seconds, the amount of time the police officer pressed his knee on Floyd’s neck.
"We are proud of this community for coming out today and saying enough is enough," Catherine Breed, a former swimmer at UC Berkeley who helped lead the event, said to the crowd before they dove into the water. "George Floyd's last word were, 'I can't breathe.'"
"Breath is really important in swimming," Breed added. "You have to breathe in, breathe out. You have to think about it with every stroke you take. Don't take any of those breaths for granted. Use your breath to create a voice. A voice loud for your friend and family to hear, and for the White House to hear.”

Should we go insane for the thousands of stupid things like this they are doing across the country now? We’re not going to go out there and get physical and they are so what is the point? To have indignant righteous rage? That’s pretty worthless without backing it up.
All I’ve read forever on this board is about how many guns everyone has and what different types and what they are used for.
But when it counted and the southern statues started coming down two years ago those hundreds of millions of guns might have just as well been pencils.
That wasn’t the time to take the stand? Of course it was they started erasing history. I expected tens of thousands to be carrying and surrounding those statues. I had a complete illusion of what the South was like when it came to something like this.

Become an expert marksman with them. Anything but confront our enemies with them.
Target practice and the enjoyment of shooting at a range should be enjoyed.

While the concept of Black Lives Matter is noble, to extrapolate it to dangerous black criminals in police arrests is not.
The life of the law abiding cop is more important to American society than that of a habitual drunken black criminal who contributes nothing. Repeatedly, black America celebrates lawless criminality by looting, rioting and pillaging American cities.
By celebrating criminality, all Democrat leaders and all those rioting, looting and pillaging have in effect become American enemies. All democrats have degenerated into our real live up to the minute enemies. They are more dangerous to America tnan Russia, China or Iran.

What a bunch of racists engaging in an activity with no blacks. It’s a pretty well known statistic that about 70% of blacks can’t swim.
If this herd of virtue signalers really cared, they would invite every black person in the city to a pool and teach them to at least be able to self-rescue.
Baltimore is about the same. 45% black, 70% non swimmers, bordered by a harbor, so what do they do? Defund the Police Marine Division
