Black Lives Matter, though less prominent in the headlines of late, continues to be quite a growth story. What began in 2013 as a hashtag propagated by a few activists and academics rapidly grew into a nationwide protest movement and then into an institutional establishment, with local chapters around the U.S. and even a few abroad. With lavish funding and generally supportive media attention, the BLM network has become the progressive Left’s primary organ of antiracism activism. Now it seeks to sustain and expand upon that success. In its most ambitious venture yet, the group has moved beyond the streets and into the nation’s public schools.
No one should be surprised. As BLM statements repeatedly make clear, the movement has always linked the charges of police misconduct that brought it into existence with a comprehensive critique of the American polity. “State violence” against blacks “takes many forms,” the BLM network’s “About us” statement declares. The first plank of a widely publicized platform issued in 2016 demands “an immediate end to the criminalization and dehumanization of Black youth,” including “an end to zero-tolerance school policies and arrests of students, the removal of police from schools, and the reallocation of funds from police and punitive school discipline practices to restorative services.” BLM founder Opal Tometi heads the list of signatories of a 2018 letter urging teachers to support a “new uprising for racial justice” in the nation’s schools.
Neither Tometi nor BLM’s other two founders, however, initiated the latest campaign. In keeping with activists’ pride in their network’s decentralization—a self-conscious departure from the top-down organizational model that they ascribe to the civil rights movement—the present venture is akin to a franchising operation, with local cells of teachers’ union activists as the operators.

Why are they letting a Democrat front group indoctrinate our kids?
Between Covid and horseshit like this and fags/trannies, more people should form small homeschooling groups. Between Zoom and other online resources, your child could be twice as educated in half the time. School is currently preparation for 8-10 hour days of corporate work.
That is their job to indoctrinate. The administration usually agrees with it. Anyone that complains is driven out.

Pulled all my kids out of the private school they went to (elementary age) when it took a super hard left turn over covid and BLM. The school sent an email kissing the ring of BLM. We unenrolled the next day. Everyone being homeschooled next year.

With the ongoing effort to keep the public believing that covid is an immediate threat, will there even be any school this fall?
Social distancing? Does that mean six or eight kids in a classroom built for thirty? Seems unworkable to me.
Masks? How are you going to keep a gaggle of kids in masks? How will all the mealtimes at school these days work with masks?
Will every surface in every school that anyone may possibly have breathed on or looked at need to be “sanitized” multiple times per day and “deep-cleaned” every night?
My step-grandson, age 4, is supposed to start preschool this fall and I don’t know what the plan is yet, or if there even is one. I don’t think his parents do either.
If there’s no school, there won’t be any BLM in school.

At this point there’s so many traitorous groups coming from so many directions that it overwhelms the mind.
I will fight the good fight until the end but there is an end and I will not let myself get sick over what happens anymore.
Fighting is worth it. Getting sick offer it isn’t. Life is too short.
Way too short for a lot of our soldiers in America’s history.
We must keep fighting but Keep in focus that everything around us is still important and these animals won’t ruin our days and lives.

Schools are going to be a nightmare of indoctrination this year, tearing down white kids to shame them and dividing kids by color, distorting US history, making it de jure to disrespect the flag and anthem, even creating the seeds of turning kids into stooges snitches and informants

It will be in the lesson plans and emails from the school and online learning. There will be anti-racist lesson plan prerequisites.
