Over half of all restaurants are going to go under.
All these great ideas are being forced on us by people who have absolutely no experience in running a business.
No crap. Not many restaurants can make money at 25% capacity. These business owners are being completely denied any economic use of their property, allegedly for the public good. That is the textbook definition of a regulatory taking, and they should be compensated.
I’ve never been an FDR fan, and I never thought “We have nothing to fear but fear itself” was all that profound.
But I am reassessing my opinion of that quote. I think COVID-19 is pretty much the flu. I don’t see the virus as a significant game changer. But our reaction (over-reaction) has totally changed everything. I think a lot of things will never be the same again. And it’s not because of the virus; its because of the fear.
Noticed since reopening in many of these restaurants the service really sucks And in some cases both as a couple we frequent the service has really gone downhill and quality of food as well. It’s like they have all forgotten the Customer is the sole reason for being and get all pissy when they do not get the tip they think they should for poor service..Actually had a waitress tell me the reason she hadn’t come back to our table was due to being stressed over the virus but expected me to tip her 40%...True story.
I don’t see the problem here. Just rehire 1/2 waiter, 1/3 of a chef, and 1/4 of a dishwasher. No problemo.
What if all of the patrons agree to say that they’re protesting. In many places that moves the limits up to 100 people.
REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER, VOTE AGAINST EVERY DEMOCRAT ON THE BALLOT.
A couple of the mom and pop places around here used to have 6-10 employees for sit down service. They are still doing take out only with two people.and won’t reopen at limited capacity.
Who knew??? Most government “workers” don’t have a clue as to what it takes to run a business. By the way, has ANY government “worker” lost a penny during this wuhan virus fraud?
Most if not all will either not reopen or go bankrupt within 6 months if they do open
