Being white and female does not make you immortal either. They may think it is a gamble but having been to war a few times I can attest to the fact that having boobs and knowing how to use a semicolon properly does not stop a bullet.
The vets out here already know that women will also try to kill you to in war time so that won’t cause them to hesitate on a trigger. Black and female cards are TRUMPED by bullets every time.
I am pretty sure I know that, my point was their support may be deeper than you think. You might consider that the demographic make up of the military has changed considerably since WW II.
