A Lubavitch rabbi I knew many years ago told me a story. While at a college basketball game (he ran the Hillel synagogue on campus), he was hit by a half-empty paper cup of soda and ice by a jeering student who shouted, "You Jew!" . Of course, his immaculate black suit was then soaked with soda and ice. He turned to the cretin who had thrown it and replied, "Thank you!"

When I asked him why he had answered the student in that way, the rabbi replied, "I was flattered to be recognized as a Jew!"

I think I'd rather be recognized in a more positive manner, but I admired how the rabbi handled the situation.

That’s a good man.

I would have punched the punk until he was dead.

I’ve not ever seen a people who bother no one get so much grief as much as Jewish folks.

We have a beautiful predominantly Jewish neighborhood on Staten Island.

The biggest crimes committed is throwing a gum wrapper out the window and jay walking.

Their neighborhood is surrounded by Italian neighborhoods.

That’s why, unlike the Jewish areas in Brooklyn that are surrounded by obama’s sons, they can walk wherever they want without having to be in a group or worry about being assaulted.
