Once pancreatic cancer spreads to the liver, a person will be lucky to be alive for more than 3 months. She will not make it to the end of the year.
It’s hard to say what life expectancy will be. She’s had serious issues in the past and overcame them. Even at her age and with a new occurrance, I would not be surprised if she’s still on the court next summer, unless Biden is elected and she then steps down. Should Trump be reelected, she will stay on the bench hoping to outlive his next term.
I'm guessing her demise will be formally announced in the week or two preceding November 3rd.
