The idea that without enforced authority, society just "gets along" only works in a society with strong moral values. Even then, we have found police to be worthwhile to do the specialized tasks of investigating crimes, arresting people, and backing up legitimate private force.

Yes, they want warlords running things like they tried to do in the “CHAZ” in Portland. They don’t seem to realize it won’t be the purple-haired, spaghetti-armed crowd that needs “safe spaces” that would end up being the warlords.
