The Trump administrations deliberate decision to intervene in the Portland protests with a heavy hand, unconventional means and inflammatory political rhetoric has contributed to growing public distrust particularly of the Department of Homeland Security.
Critics of the department are now rightly worried that its law enforcement agents might be increasingly deployed by President Trump to score political points, or even interfere with the November election.

I remember Chertoff. A totally useless cipher. Never did a damned thing for the country except suck up taxpayer dollars.

Michael Cherkoff, you seem awfully concerned about President Trumps potential political gain by restraining terrorists. Tell us Cherkoff, Would you prefer Seattle in flames? Portland in flames? Biden in November?

I seem to remember he was involved with selling some x-ray machine to the government for airport security or some such racket.

Yet these guys had no problem with Obama and Eric Holder running F&F, elsewhere, and all that came with it.

Cut me a break—the Feds are required by law to protect federal buildings, equipment, and personnel.
There is zero chance that Chertoff would have handled the situation differently on his watch.
This is grotesque slander—totally unforgivable.

Chertoff is a jerkoff. Hasn’t said anything relevant or thoughtful since who knows when.

Just ran across this while looking for Nixon’s quote on Bohemian Grove.

With John Kerry’s pic in there, no joke.
So, GHWB’s nickname was “Magog”? There’s one I hadn’t heard before. Weird.
I am definitely adjusting my tinfoil hat at this moment.
Wow, was Richard Nixon prophetic on this one (NSFW nor church) - but if you skip the profanity (hence the warning) Richard Nixon was absolutely correct about destroying Rome and America. Just wow.

NOW I think I understand why some in Israel(?) were calling W. as “Gog” of “Magog”.
I remember being puzzled about that way back when.
