2750 tonnes...

That’s roughly 3 kilotons... the amount of explosive in a small tactical nuke, and about 1/5 of the Hiroshima A-bomb.

Wow.

And if this ammonium nitrate was for agricultural use, why store it in downtown Beirut? Hmmmm?
