President Donald Trump offered one more virtual boost Wednesday on the eve of Election Day for Bill Hagerty,...The president showered Hagerty with praise, calling him a "stalwart defender of our conservative values on topics ranging from gun rights to abortion opposition. He said Hagerty was one of Trump's strongest supporters in 2016," praised his work on the presidential transition team..."He's a Trump conservative. He's a friend of mine. Hes a great guy," Trump said...Trump stopped short of mentioning Sethi at all.

I have a very bad feeling about this Manny Sethi character.
I’m afraid he’s not as he portrays himself.
Indeed. And, the reason is, when he wins the upcoming election but, loses a seat or two in the Senate his agenda is screwed. His second term will be at the mercy of Romney, Collins, and Murkowski.
We cannot lose a single Senate seat. Trump is aware of this so, he will listen to The Turtle, VP Pence, and his reelection team and endorse whomever he believes has the best chance to beat the democrat opponent.
Trump and the GOP Congress did nothing to rein in - or break up - Big Tech. Hard to feel sorry for any of them.
Exactly.
I think the DOJ will need to sue to achieve what you want which is the same thing that happened to IBM and AT&T. The DOJ filed suit on the last day of LBJ's term and it wasn't settled until the late 80s or so. It was in court for almost 20 years.
This will be another multi decade suit, if it happens. And I think it will, but not until Trump's second term. If the DOJ sued now, it would suck all the oxygen out of the entire world and a distraction for reelection. Plus, there needs time to manufacture the smelling salts that will be needed when it happens and I think it will happen, but wait until next year.
They are probably quietly preparing a case now and that in itself will take a long time.
Both of these guys have problems and uncertanties, but they are not worth losing the Senate. Republicans need to copy the Democrat strategy of win first and work out the rest later.
Disagree
The conservative base prefers Sethi. As Sethi closed the gap, Hagerty responded with a scorched earth campaign. Hagerty may win, and Tennessee conservatives will perhaps be saddled with another Lamar/Corker/GOP-e politician. It will leave a mark, and not a pretty one. Conservatives in Tennessee are trying to break out of the establishment Republican plantation, but it’s tough when you are fighting against entrenched money and influence. For various reasons Trump felt compelled to endorse Hagerty. Unfortunately for conservatives in Tennessee, he probably chose wrong. Red-headed stepchildren, we are.
He tells us what we like to hear then turns around and endorses the Establishment candidates.....
I notice that the same idiots that supported Ted Cruz support Sethi. Ted Cruz even campaigned for Sethi. Cruz is a classic controlled opposition rino.
Devaney accused Hagerty of highlighting the donation "in hopes that voters would ignore the $100,000 he gave to Romney and Al Gore." Hagerty contributed $1,000 to Gore's presidential campaign in 1999, records show.
DEFEAT SLICK WILLIE HAGERTY - LIAR AND DERP STATE FRAUD EXTRAORDINAIRE !
VOTE MANNY SETHI TODAY ! HE WILL SUPPORT OUR PRESIDENT, NOT LIAR HAGERTY !
The only bad “character” is the Al Gore and Willard the Rat-supporting fraud Hagerty. He’s been lying from day one.
The Demonrats aren’t running a viable candidate. They’re expecting THEIR agenda to be carried out by chronic liar and fraudster Slick Willie Hagerty.
