Until she’s not. We’ve been down the hero worship lane to many times. A politician does a good thing and collectively everyone paints the person as some god creature. Then oops. Does something to disappoint and that same person is the villain from hell. Nope. She needs to do more then host a bike weekend. A lot more!

She will be the Vice President candidate on the 2024 Republican ticket.

You have an interesting point here. I can think of a couple, one former FR sweetheart worked at Fox, another being a lawyer.

And I can think of some FR sweethearts that are not exactly heros, such as AOC where many here worship her upper extremities and would likely be closet voters if this commie ever made it to the national ticket.

With all that said, I personally think the SD Gov is genuine.

“She needs to do more then host a bike weekend. A lot more!”

More? She’s the only governor (IIRC) who stared at WuFlu in the face, didn’t shut down the government, and let SD citizens make their own decisions about how they live their lives. Respecting Americans and allowing them to draw on their liberty is much more than “hosting a bike weekend”. In 2020, it’s everything.

You don’t believe she has proved a good governor for South Dakota?

“She needs to do more then host a bike weekend. A lot more!”

She’s been doing WAY less than, say “never been that great”, “killer” Cuomo for MONTHS.

Keeping the State largely open.

Tamping down CV2 outbreaks at various in-State packing Plants.

Allowing the peeps to exercise Personal Liberty as God intended.

“...bike weekend...”

It’s WAY longer than that. Officially it’s a 10 day week, but there are really “shoulders” covering the weeks before and after.

Plenty of temporary traffic lights put up all over the central, eastern Black Hills for weeks by the State.

The sum of the populations of Custer[Custer], Lawrence[Deadwood], Pennington[Rapid City] and Meade[Sturgis] Counties is ~160k.

The nearest larger Cities [Billings, Ft. Collins, Sioux Falls] are all ~340 miles away.

Typically The Rally brings an additional 500k peeps.

Locally, it’s a Pretty Big Deal.

For weeks.

We’ll see how the CV2 thing turns out.
