Never before seen footage shows the shocking moment an explosion rocked the port of Lebanon's capital city, Beirut, on Tuesday (August 4), at approximately 6 pm local time.
The HD 4K video, recorded on an iPhone SE by Agoston Nemeth, a 42-year-old therapist from Budapest, Hungary, shows loud rumbling, as black smoke engulfs the sky, before a huge mushroom cloud and visible blast wave blows out the windows, rushing towards the camera and knocking it over.
Nemeth's footage was captured on the terrace of his home, on the 13th floor of building next to St George Hospital, only 850 meters from the explosion.

You could clearly see the fireworks going off.

Wondering.... could this have been the largest man made explosion ever? With the exception of nuclear explosions, volcanic eruptions, etc, I’m not aware of explosion greater. Anyone know of one?

Russian FOAB fuel air bomb allegedly delivers 4 times its weight of TNT in explosive power. In Lebanon the AN is 50% its weight of TNT. So a fuel air bomb can be made to deliver a lot more in theory.
There were accounts of soldiers in Afghanistan witnessing an entire mountain blown to bits by US forces.
Apparently there was a legal dispute with the owners of a Russian vessel called the ‘Rhosus’. Something about a fight over port fees. The ship had stopped in Beirut with a load of ammonium nitrate and because of the dispute, the powers that be in Beirut would not release the ship. Video link here:

The small flashes don’t look like fireworks shells — little delay and no blossoms.
I’s say they were ammo rounds cooking off as blown into the air.
A whole lot of people looking out their windows at the time are hurting now.
