Poor writing. There is no theory of time travel that doesn't work in practice. What practical failure could he possible be referring to? And Communism doesn't work in the practice because it also doesn't work in theory. It's a wrong theory. That's the thing. This notion that something can work in theory but not in the real world is wrong. If something doesn't work in reality then it doesn't work in theory, because the theory is either wrong or incomplete. Either way, it's a bad theory and doesn't work.
If you think you can do better, why don’t you write it. I don’t see anything wrong with it.
