Lebanons embattled prime minister announced his resignation on live national TV on Monday as his cabinet headed for the door amid widespread unrest over the deadly explosion at Beiruts port last week.
We are still living amid the horror that struck Lebanon and the Lebanese to the core, which was the result of severe corruption in the administration, PM Hassan Diab said in his speech, according to a tweet by MTV English News.
At least 220 people died in Tuesdays explosion, which leveled swaths of the city. It is believed to have been caused by an accidental fire ignited by mounds of fertilizer that had been stored at a warehouse there since 2013. The fertilizer had been seized by a Russian cargo ship.

Great. So, who’s minding the store now? Hezbollah? The military?
I think it was a weapons cache. The blow up may or may not have been accidental.
I dont think it was just a bunch of randomly stored fertilizer.
Give it back to the French. Deport enough moozlems to make it christian again.
Who was behind keeping this stuff in the heart of the city, or why was the explosive dangerous cargo never removed? Hezbollah? Iran? Russia? Local farmers were stealing material from an open metal door they cut into. A work crew with an acetylene torch was welding the whole shut when they started the fire.
TOTAL INCOMPETENCE ALL THE WAY AROUND THIS THRIRD WORLD HELL HOLE!
“The fertilizer had been seized by a Russian cargo ship.”
Copy editor to idiot writer - “Please explain how a ship seizes cargo?”
There are so many holes in the story that it should be about Swiss Cheese.
Big surprise, Lebanon is corrupt from head to toe, just like our deep state. Government breeds corruption for ONE big reason, zero accountability. When Strock and Paige and Comey and Obama are jailed wake me up.
“The fertilizer had been seized by a Russian cargo ship”.
Hmm, seems the post needs to hire an editor.
Return Lebanon to French administration.
