Wrong shade of red. Intramural fighting among the left is really vicious.

Marxists complain about corporate capitalism until it comes time for nonprofit grant requests, campaign funding, pork barrel projects, and perks for party leaders. Green Dollars Matter to Green New Dealers—the world’s biggest funders of Marxism are inevitably billionaires.

>>There is nothing ‘intellectual’ about Marxism. Nothing. It’s a horribly misinformed collection of tripe that was propagated by a parasite with father issues.<<

I wish proponents of Marxism had to live with it for 2 years. It would start by stripping them of all money and worldly posession, followed by placing them in crowded ugly publuc housing. No private vehicles, everyone rides public transit. Your meals, just enough to subsist, are chosen and doled out by the politbureau.

Compare THAT with the life of luxury and leisure enjoyed by these professed Marxists.

“Along the way, he acquired the conviction, controversial today, that the left is too focused on race and not enough on class.”

Also, they are focusing too much on the importing, and not on the exporting.

A contrary view is offered by Reed and some prominent scholars and activists, many of whom are Black. They see the current emphasis in the culture on race-based politics as a dead end. They include West; historians Barbara Fields of Columbia University and Toure Reed — Adolph Reed’s son — of Illinois State; and Bhaskar Sunkara, founder of Jacobin, a socialist magazine.

They readily accept the brute reality of America’s racial history and of racism’s toll. They argue, however, that the problems now bedeviling America — such as wealth inequality, police brutality and mass incarceration — affect Black and brown Americans but also large numbers of working-class and poor white Americans.

The most powerful progressive movements, they said, take root in the fight for universal programs.

He is an old fashioned Marxist who missed out on mainstream Marxist intellectuals and academics embrace and use of identity politics as the wedge with which to teach their Marxist social deconstruction themes.

He is an intellectual, while they are the “revolutionaries” on the front lines of using their Marxism on agendas for obtaining power.

They used it for obtaining power in academia, and in academia they trained today’s “journalists” and “communicators” for all media as well as the “educators”. Meanwhile they have massively been working on the lawyers, and new leagues of “scientists” who were taught that science must be done only to serve some social end. In that they have learned to ignore or bend, or falsify the use of science so as to manufacture results that demand some social “solution”.

The 70 year old speaker probably does not recognize that he was at one time part of creating those who now don’t want him to speak. It is all in true Animal Farm style.

“Is racism the primary problem in America today, or the outgrowth of a system that oppresses all poor people?”

Right at the top, the propagandist states that America oppresses all poor people.

I stopped reading there.
