Bumperoonie.
I guess we are back to “Liquidate the Kulaks as a Class.”
Well, he’s right. The elites, led by the billionaire class, have been demagoging race to keep the peasants fighting among themselves.
The LEFT is the biggest problem. Period.
First they came for the conservatives....
“Afrosocialists and Socialists of Color Caucus...”
I bet they have great-looking T-shirts...
According to Reed’s theory on poor whites and blacks being on an economic level, Pres. Trump’s job-creating policies would make him the greatest Marxist of all time.
Socialists are just another name for traitorous, stupid, delusional communists without the KGB to kill their enemies.
“Along the way, he acquired the conviction, controversial today, that the left is too focused on race and not enough on class.”
Class grievance is so yesterday! Fabricated racial grievances are so much better at pushing forward the revolution.
You see a rigid class structure never existed in the US and with the available upward mobility, it was hard to make the case of class warfare or envy. They existed only as figments of leftist imagination.
It is easier to make the case of black oppression (even though it is baseless) because in general and on average, blacks tend to occupy the lower ranks of society due to their lower AVERAGE IQ. The left of course doesn’t blame the IQ, instead it blames the whites and the system whites set up.
Sadly there are enough useful idiot whites that gladly accept the blame, and go into guilt ridden euphoria of self flagellation and self debasement culminating with abject groveling.
Whites are their own worst enemy, for most leftist leaders are white. The rest of us normal and sane whites need to find a way to eradicate this cancer.
Let them eat their own.
A contrary view is offered by Reed and some prominent scholars and activists, many of whom are Black. They see the current emphasis in the culture on race-based politics as a dead end. They include West; historians Barbara Fields of Columbia University and Toure Reed Adolph Reeds son of Illinois State; and Bhaskar Sunkara, founder of Jacobin, a socialist magazine. They readily accept the brute reality of Americas racial history and of racisms toll. They argue, however, that the problems now bedeviling America such as wealth inequality, police brutality and mass incarceration affect Black and brown Americans but also large numbers of working-class and poor white Americans.
The most powerful progressive movements, they said, take root in the fight for universal programs.
“Is racism the primary problem in America today, or the outgrowth of a system that oppresses all poor people?”
Right at the top, the propagandist states that America oppresses all poor people.
I stopped reading there.
His name is Adolph.
