Trump Pushes Saving Suburbs from Forced Diversity

President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump hosted an event on Tuesday at the White House to commemorate women gaining the right to vote.

“The first lady and I are delighted to welcome the members of Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission to the White House to celebrate the 100th anniversary of women securing the right to vote,” Trump said. “That’s something.”

“I want to thank the commission members who have worked tirelessly for three years to tell the very powerful story of America’s suffrage and America’s suffrage movement,” Tump said.

But the reporters in the room were more interested in Trump reversing an Obama-era rule that aimed to force diversity into suburban neighborhoods in the guise of making every neighborhood accessible to people of all incomes.

In practice, that meant requiring neighborhoods in cities across America to allow the inclusion of multiple-unit and low-income housing.

Trump tweeted about the his effort along with Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson:

Trump needs to remind the media that the Obamas didn’t return to the ‘hood when they left the White House.

They should force diversity on Martha’s Vineyard. If obama thinks it’s such a great idea, build a housing project there.

I hear ya but in reality I don’t give a crap what Obama did or didn’t do. We as nation shouldn’t be ‘forced’ to do any of this crap. Either we value liberty or we don’t.

Forced Diversity...Is that like forcing whites to move moveinto black neighborhoods and rebuilding them? Gentrification?

Hey diversity can work both ways!

I don’t care about “diversity” - I care about the substandard housing they want to import, which leads to other social and economic problems. The housing is substandard and demeaning to those they put in them. If these people are going to put in suburbs they should be put in the same quality housing.

I thought they were against urban sprawl - so why would the Left want to increase the population in these areas to begin with?

It’s not diversity that we oppose. I have no problem with respectful people, no matter their color or economic status or political affiliation. It’s turning our neighborhoods into da hood we oppose.

There is a massive massive effort to bring The Urban Experience to suburban and rural areas.

Definitely agree; just pointing out the pot calling the kettle black with the Obamas.

Wait. Was that a white supremacist statement I said? *whoops*

The suburbes are more diversified and living peacefully with each other than they realize. Its not about diversity its about people who work and people who are not working and on public assistance generation after generation, breeding crime and violence

The Obama home on Martha’s Vineyard. Bought it for $11.75 million.
On 29 acres
6,900 sq ft house, SEVEN bedrooms, NINE bathrooms
Pool, chef’s kitchen, outdoor fireplace, two guest wings, large sundecks

They could house several poor families in that mansion.

It’s not “forced diversity” it’s about importing poverty and crime. I’m surprised he’s taking on the issue of mandatory section 8 housing in the suburbs. In his exchange with reporters he pointed out 30% (or more) suburban owners are minorities that own a piece of the American dream.

Exactly.

Tell the leftists that the first section 8 housing will be built in the Hamptons, Martha’s Vineyard, Hollywood, Malibu and wherever they live.

Force these people to practice what they preach and live up to their own rules.

I think every neighborhood ruled by an HOA should have a few units in their midst. It would give the neighborhood nazis something to work their enforcement routine.
