Will we even know by Inauguration Day who won the election?
The Hill ^ | August 29, 2020 | GREGORY J. WALLANCE

Political commentators are warning Americans not to expect to learn on election night who won the 2020 presidential election because it will take days or even weeks to count the expected surge in mail-in ballots.

Actually, we will be lucky if we know who won by January 20, 2021, which is Inauguration Day. That is one scary takeaway from electoral “war games” conducted in June by a bipartisan group of political operatives, former government officials and experts organized by the Transition Integrity Project. The simulated election crisis scenarios make the 2000 Florida recount in Bush v. Gore look like a political lovefest.

In one scenario, titled “Ambiguous Result,” the election turned on the results in North Carolina, Michigan and Florida. After North Carolina went to Biden and Florida to Trump, a rogue saboteur destroyed ballots in Michigan that would have given Biden a win in that state and the presidency. Both sides claimed victory and Michigan ended up sending rival slates of Trump and Biden electors to vote in the Electoral College. The Electoral College process broke down over which slate was entitled to vote. By noon on January 20, 2021, when the next president was supposed to be sworn in, “both sides were still claiming victory, leading to the problem of two claims to Commander-in-Chief power (including access to the nuclear codes).”

What the ever-loving Hell is it going to take to solve this crap?

And do we as Patriots have the stones for it?

I don't think it matters anymore.

On Election Day, there will be riots across the country. Of this we can have no doubt. Polling places will be on fire, many in heavily democrat districts, burned by their own supporters who now cry they have no vote.

Liberals never accepted Donald Trump's victory in 2016. Does anyone think they'll accept this one? And on the flip side, should Joe Biden win, are Trump supporters just going to roll over and allow him the courtesy to preside that Trump never received?

Only God Himself will know who truly won and it won't matter because either way, winter is coming. This nation has passed the point of being able to reconcile our differences at the ballot box.

Funny how they just talk about what seems increasingly unlikely - a close election. Wait till September 17th, when the leftist maniacs try to storm the White House. They only seem to be happiest when they are unhappy. I wonder if the rioters want Trump to win?

> a rogue saboteur destroyed ballots in Michigan that would have given Biden a win in that state and the presidency <

Well, that’s kind of interesting. In this scenario the saboteur is evidently a Trump supporter. Biden is the legitimate winner. Buts it’s a MAGA guy who messes things up.

But it’s a MAGA guy who messes things up.

Of course! And it'll be MAGA guys disguised as Antifa/BLM who are rioting in the inner cities and burning polling places.

If you defend yourself from looters and rioters, you're a white supremacist. If you are looting and rioting, you're a white supremacist dressed up as BLM.

Them's the new rules.

For the umpteenth time, the Electoral College has the solution. Each state must ratify their results and have them sent to Washington by December 14th. If a state doesn’t have their act together by that date, their electoral votes are not counted and the winner of the election is the one who has 50% or more of the remaining electoral votes.

This gives states approximately six weeks to complete their counting. If blue states try to run out the clock, it only hurts Biden, not Trump. The wild card here is John Roberts. If the Supreme Court wants to grant states more time to count their votes (even though the rules are already spelled out), I suppose Roberts could join the liberals and grant an extension.

If not, this is all a moot point although surely the Democrats and the media will raise a huge stink should California, New York or Illinois not complete their voting. It doesn’t affect Trump’s electoral votes unless the Dems sabotage voting in red states.

I completely agree with you. I think Election Day will be memorable. The Soros sponsored groups will try to create chaos, confusion, anger, etc. hoping to create one last opportunity to turn the voters against Trump. When that won't work, they will try to create so much uncertainty as to who won that Trump will never be viewed as a legitimate president.

It is incredibly important that Trump wins the popular vote by a significant enough margin, that his victory can't be questioned, which is a tall order.

And even then, the dems will try to say Trump stole the election through hiding, destroying and delaying ballots through the postal service.

“Will we even know by Inauguration Day who won the election?”

The answer is yes. People should learn more about civics before writing publicly about civics.

Well, I'm glad you posted that for the umpteenth time because I had not read it before and did not know that. That was very interesting.

I think the lone hold out will be California. Because of ballot harvesting, Cali accepts ballots 17 days after election day and since it appears Cali does not start to certify mail in ballots until election day, Cali has already said, their tallies won't be complete until at least a month after election day. It won't matter since Trump will get creamed again in the state (he lost by 30 points in 2016), but Cali actually said they don't care how long it takes to count the mail in ballots.

But you're correct - it only hurts Biden.

We should all be able to see by now that the Communist Democrat Party is past the point of legitimate political discourse and has now moved into the revolutionary stage as the means of gaining control. Will American Patriots stop them or quietly succumb to the hammer and sickle? There are federal laws to stop them, but I only see token sporadic effort. This argument that Federalism requires state action or invitation is a straw man. The Federal government has a plenary right and inherent duty to protect the civil rights of all citizens.

If Trump wins PA, WI, MN and MI handily, what is to prevent the governors from just never allowing the EC votes to go get counted? Holding back the certification? This would throw the election back to NY and CA.

Democrats are filth.

You are correct.

I have been posting the same for several weeks. Everyone is ignoring this.

If Trump is going to win, why would they allow an election. Revolution does not start by playing nice.

The cops will be useless.
