Who needs the Constitution for a national mask mandate? If a Democrat CDC were to find that masks are needed nationwide, lawyers nationwide would be urging their clients to comply or face ruinous lawsuits.
Maybe he will change his hair to match President Trump.
The guy has been in government for near 50 years yet he just now realizes it might be unconstitutional. I do not believe one word from his mouth because it is different every day he is not consistent.

So why is it so hard for a bunch of much smarter FReepers to figure it out?
Is it because the mask is a security blanket to make them feel in control?
I’m not saying this as just a partisan slap at Biden during the election.
He has always been known as a BS artist and a fool. He was slightly rehabilitated by Obama picking him as vice president but he really couldn’t do any harm to anyone.
He’s well known for losing and for just being wrong headed about most major decisions.
Now during this election he’s running his mouth, like the way he screamed about the false reports on Trump and the soldiers, and how he ran out to announce a mask mandate.
He’s just a big mouth and he always has been. Would be a major disaster as president.
C’mon, man!
Even if he debates himself, Biden would find a way to lose.
Biden can establish a de facto national mandate just be appointing a CDC chief who will say it is necessary to stop a horrible pandemic. Lawyers nationwide would be advising their clients to comply or face ruinous lawsuits, and all but a few Republican governors would cave.

1. Biden a week ago... national mask mandate.
Biden now... umm err... constitutional problems with that.
2. Biden during the DNC debates... “No Fracking”!
Biden-Harris now... Of course we support Fracking!
3. Biden (again) about a week ago... “I don’t see any violence. Only peaceful demonstrators”
Biden today... I categorically condemn all violence and rioting.
So what are we to believe, Joe?
If Trump had talked about a national mask mandate, they would be calling him a fascist dictator. It he refused to order the whole country to cover their faces, they would condemn him as ineffectual.
If he said that he would, and then changed his mind, they would be calling him a liar.
