I’m surprised they didn’t suggest that people install a bunch of those old-style vacuum tubes. One end could be outside, with trick-or-treaters pushing a button to announce themselves. The other end would be inside the house. The resident could load candy into the tube from inside, & push a “Send” button to deliver it to the kids. Thus, the decrees of “thafety” and “thothial dithtanthing” (said with a lisp) could be maintained.
It is standard Commie-crat Dictatorship...because these power and control freaks continue to get away with it.
