REVEALED: At least 15 phones belonging to Robert Mueller's team - including FBI lover Lisa Page - had their information wiped before they were handed to Bill Barr's DOJ

More than 15 phones belonging to the investigative team of then-Special Counsel Robert Mueller were 'wiped' during the probe, according to recently released documents from the Department of Justice.

Phones were wiped of information before the Office of Inspector General (OIG) had a chance to review the devices, according to documents released after a lawsuit from the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch.

Andrew Weissman, Mueller's deputy, 'accidentally wiped' his phone on two occasions after entering the wrong passcode too many times in March 2018. The records show that Lawyer James Quarles' phone 'wiped itself' without his intervention.

A phone belonging to FBI lawyer Lisa Page - who was caught exchanging anti-Trump texts with FBI agent Peter Strzok - was restored to factory settings by the time the inspector general's office obtained it.

Bill Barr is pissed and will appear on Levin’s program to discuss the importance of the constitution and the wisdom of the founding fathers.

If he's that pissed you'd think he would quietly just do his job and press charges for despoliation of evidence instead of pulling a linda graham.

Notice the difference. SDNY-DOJ has postal inspectors drive from NY to FL to seize evidence from triple amputee Kolfage. OTOH, the DOJ IG “requests” evidence from the Mueller coupists that subsequently is destroyed.

One side is playing to win here and the other is not. The DOJ plays as the Washington Generals any time it is in support of POTUS. None of this is accidental. It’s intentional sabotage.

You’re right. The way storage works is that a flag is set that the file (more specifically, the location that the file sits on) can be overwritten. Until the location is overwritten the data is still there. Additionally, enterprise device management systems capture everything that goes on on a device. For devices given to people performing investigations like these people were supposed to, the integrity of the investigation would have been cause to implement the most stringent data capture and backup policies on the devices. the DOJ need only get their IT people to recover the data from backup, and if it doesn’t exist there they can have computer forensics specialists, or data recovery specialists, recover the data directly from the media on the device.

For the record, I am an IT professional with 25 years of experience, so these are things I have dealt with myself in the past.

The Meta Data lives forever. Even if they spoofed the numbers and other network traffic the Meta Data portion exists. In many cases that is all you need.

So then the data is still there ?
If so and can be retrieved each user of each device needs to be charged with obstuction of justice just on the attempt to destroy.

“DOJ just shrugs.”

To be fair, I surmise AG Barr doesn’t play the bagpipes (in public) anymore.

I’m certainly not in the mood to laugh when he’s appalled again.

Isn’t the destruction of evidence a crime?

Hillary did it too.

Why are we not enforcing laws?

Why are we not stopping insurrection in our cities today?

How has BLM/Antifa been able to exist one day after the first riots? Especially when they crossed state lines?

Are we a system of laws equally enforced, or are we a system of men with preferences and power over others? If this is where we are then we are already the Soviet Union. Just no mass murdering yet.

I’m not a smart man but wouldn’t there be a cloud backup? Or did they delete that as well?

Not necessarily. If these were iPhones they may have been backed up to the cloud (whether the user was aware of it or not) and the data may still reside there. While resetting an iPhone to the factory default does delete all user data, the data may still reside on the cloud.
