Where I live, you won’t see a Democrat on any ballot. It’s either Republican or No Affiliation. It’s like they are embarrassed to identify themselves as Democrats anymore.

I have a cousin who ran for office in a small CT town as a democrat. Even though he appears very conservative in his actions and deeds, he says he could not get elected if he ran as anything else. I thought it was hypocritical of him and told him so.
