No mercy for leftists: Fill Ruth Bader Ginsburg's seat now

The death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg has created another political firestorm for the weeks to come. Since we’re so close to the election, doesn’t it seem fair for Trump wait until afterward the election to replace her?

No, Trump should not wait.

Trump has nothing to lose and everything to gain by replacing RGB before the election

Some Democrats have brought up Merrick Garland, who was nominated by Obama but failed to become a SCOTUS judge. The GOP objection was that Obama was in the last six months of his second term, so the upcoming election should decide. Democrats will be quick to point out this occurrence, labeling it hypocrisy for conservatives to replace RGB when they rejected Garland.

Other leftists urged Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell to lead the way by not filling a SCOTUS seat this close to an election. He concluded with: “You’d agree with this, especially in light of the Garland precedent, right?”

Except, that’s not what happened. The Merrick Garland circumstance was different because Obama was in his second term, and there would be a new president in six months, no matter the outcome. In this instance, we might have the same president in six months. What makes it worse is Democrats did not set any “precedent” by deciding it wouldn’t be fair to fill an open SCOTUS seat only months away from a new presidency — they tried to ram judge Garland down our throats anyways!

The only reason Garland is not sitting on SCOTUS is because Mitch McConnell and the Senate refused a hearing on Garland. The rationale was the constitution does not require a timeframe to hear the president’s SCOTUS nomination, so they waited.

When RBG died the dems dream of stealing the election died with her. With RGB gone the reps have a clear and solid majority.

Truthfully, the Supreme Court at this moment consists of two constitutional conservatives (both in their 70s), two centrists, and four liberals.

Another reason to have the confirmation hearings begin immediately is that Kamala Harris is on the Senate Judiciary Committee and will dominate, basically running her campaign from the hearing room.

I'd love to see Ted Cruz demand that Harris recuse herself from the confirmation hearings on the grounds that she would be directly impacted by the result as the Democrat Vice-Presidential nominee.

Of course, Harris will refuse.

Americans will get a very up-close view of her as she interrogates Amy Coney Barrett, and will not like what they see.

The hearings may just swing a lot of voters away from the Harris-Biden ticket.

Every GOP senator should ask themselves, “What would the Rats do if the shoe were on the other foot?”... and calmly proceed accordingly.”

Dems would of course push the nominee through ASAP and do it quickly because not one Senator would peel-off. Collins and Murky (Possible Romney) would peel-off.

McSally needs to tow the line same with Loeffler. Sasse is a go, last night I think it wasn't doable, however, could be shaping up as a win in 2020.

Election fever will happen anyway over Ginsburg's passing.

Power.

Senate is Republican.

We approve our own and block theirs.

That’s it.

There are rules to this. Since she just went through the vilification process, we know what they were looking at. They should have touched on everything and nothing has changed. Of course the Dems will vote against her so that won’t be a surprise.

There has to be a conservative black female somewhere in this country. This is a meatball pitch waiting for us to hit a grand slam. Why would we let the Dems off the hook. Make them vote down a black female to the supreme court and see where that gets them.

They have done every nasty, toxic thing possible. The way they treated Kavanaugh and his family still makes my blood boil.
