Republicans on North Carolina Board of Elections resign after mail-in ballot changes
Fox News ^ | September 24 2020 | Evie Fordham

Both Republicans on the five-person North Carolina State Board of Elections submitted their resignations on Wednesday night, saying they were misled about the ramifications of the board's recent legal settlement making rules governing absentee ballots less restrictive.

"Regarding the settlement agreement with the plaintiffs in the lawsuit filed by the North Carolina Alliance for Retired Americans against the State Board of Elections, attorneys from [Attorney General] Josh Stein’s office did not advise us of the fact that a lot of the concessions made in the settlement have already been denied in a prior case by a federal judge and another case by a state court three-judge panel," Ken Raymond, who had served on the board since 2018, wrote in his resignation letter.

The other Republican on the board, David Black, took issue with new guidance allowing that a ballot with deficient information won’t be considered “spoiled,” and the voter will be sent an affidavit to sign to rectify the problem.

Soooo, let’s see. You resign in protest so the board can do what they want without *any* sort of voice of restraint and common sense and deprive your side of inside intelligence. Brilliant!

This is what the GOP idiots in California did and now the CA GOP wonders why they’re on the outside looking in.

So, the Republicans are walking away and letting the Democrats rule? I don’t like the sound of that.

Logical next step would be court action. Is anyone even moving in that direction?

Wouldn’t surprise me if court action occurs by end of October, and disqualifies all mail-in ballots for the state, and you have to appear at your normal poll-station. That would shock folks.

The vote ballot corruption going on the battle ground states will probably make Trump’s reelection impossible unless stopped. Someone had better develop a plan fast.

It used to only occur in the banana republics that the vote tallies added together equaled about 120% of the number of voters.

Yes....in a logical and sane world, the immediate step would be court action...not walking away from the problem.

I’m hoping for a late October court action, that would disqualify/stop all of this mail-in ballot nonsense.

“...CA GOP wonders why they’re on the outside looking in.”

In California, they were already looking in and have for many, many years since, the early 1970’s when the legislature went democrat. Even Reagan, one of the leaders of the conservative party during his lifetime, was a democrat until 1962. It was a slow transition for California, but they made the effort and turned it into a socialist cesspool.

Today, eight in ten eligible adults (83%) are registered to vote in California as of July; this is a notable increase from the registration rate in July 2016 (73%), the year of the last presidential election. The share of the 20.9 million registered voters who are Democrats (46.3%) has increased 45.1% in 2016), while the share of Republicans (24%) has declined (from 27.1%). The share who say they are independent (also known as “decline to state” or “no party preference” voters) has been increasing and is now 24%, up from 23.3% in 2016. Our surveys indicate that 47% of those we consider most likely to vote are Democrats, while 26% are Republicans and 22% are independents. And the attack there is sustaining and relentless. They won’t be happy until they have completely removed the conservatives and the GOP can’t stop it.

The CA GOP was responsible for quite a lot of their own misfortune, though, due to idiot moves similar to those reported in the story above. They’re not 100% to blame, sure, but at least 60-75%. They did a *lot* of dumb things.

While you can find conservative judges in lower state courts the NC Supreme Court is solidly majority marxist!

Republican Party, which at one point started billing itself as the “Grand Old Party” that is now abbreviated as GOP.
