The President has never been chosen by popular vote. States select electors by the vote of their state not those outside.

The people of Pennsylvania elected a Republican Legislature and thus have already stated their choice for Trump for President.

States select electors by POPULAR VOTE.

“States select electors by POPULAR VOTE.”

True enough, but they are not Constitutionally required to do so. States aren’t Constitutionally required to even hold an election for President. Bottom line, a state’s legislature has the power to choose its Electors.

Exactly right! We live in a constitutional Republic, not a democracy. And there’s a reason the founders didn’t want a democracy (mob-ocracy).

If the dems try to steal it by counting mail in votes till they win after the election, this option provides an iron clad constitutionally sound solution to their fraud.

Of course, the dems will riot and claim illegitimacy afterwards, but they are going to do that anyway if Trump wins.

The states select Electoral Collage electors via the method approved by their state legislators. Currently, almost all states choose based on the vote within their state. Most award electors on a winner-take-all basis, but some states, Maine I think, have a proportional number of electors and not a winner-take-all basis. A few states have foolishly voted to give their Electoral College electors to the national popular vote winner and thus discard the votes of their own people in their state.

Bottom line: the state legislators decide and you have NO Constitutional Right to vote for President.

“Otherwise, Republicans are creating the very crisis that would potentially enable them … to steal Pennsylvania’s electoral votes,” he said.

Yes, they could undo your theft by voter fraud on the mail-in votes. Strange how that works!

And signed into law by the governor!

The solution is simple. Abandon mail in voting with no solicited ballots.

If information subsequent to the election presents probable cause to investigate voter fraud, and an investigation supports that, the electorates of the majority legislative districts might well demand a remedy such as appointing electors without regard to a tainted popular vote. In such a case the Rats would go berserk claiming the death of democracy, and I would reply it was the resuscitation of the republic.

Colorado passed this law. However I don’t think it is in effect until a majority of states pass the same bill. It’s an effort to circumvent the electoral college.

“...And signed into law by the governor!”

Interestingly, the Constitution doesn’t mention any role for a state’s governor in the process. Just the Legislature. It might be analogous to the fact that the President plays no role in the amendment process.
