I suspect LA is that oil/gas industry is down too.
I do not think there is a lot of drilling going on right now in the gulf.
The airline industry is having a ripple effect across the economy in many states.
For example, I sell a skid/pallet manufacturer in Idaho.
His biggest customer is Kaiser Aluminum in Spokane. Kaiser’s business is down about 50% because no one is building commercial airplanes. So, if Boeing is not building jets, Kaiser is not get orders for sheets of aluminum. Therefore, they do not need as many skids(4x12 pallets) to ship their aluminum around the world.
Hence, my customer in Idaho is not buying as much lumber to build skids from ME.
After all, it is all about ME!

They go to a lot of trouble to really hype the PANDEMIC is really really real. They closed down an entire freeway to do CV-19 testing because it was really really important.
CV-19 patients in hospitals make up less that 7%. Death rate is in the 1% range. But you know it is really really important and dangerous. We are all going to die if we don’t do take really really drastic actions.
