Tourism is the foundation of Hawaii's economy. They are still requiring visitors to be quarantined for two weeks upon arrival. Their unemployment will not go down until they knock it off.

I would imagine Hawaii’s economy will be toast for quite a while. No tourism means a lot of businesses will close completely never to come back. All because somebody wants to play tyranny.

Tourist found not to be adhering to quarantine rules are routinely prosecuted and returned to their mainland home. Fortunately, the discussion of hangings and/or firing squads did not get any real traction with the Democratic Governor Ige.

They go to a lot of trouble to really hype the PANDEMIC is really really real. They closed down an entire freeway to do CV-19 testing because it was really really important.

CV-19 patients in hospitals make up less that 7%. Death rate is in the 1% range. But you know it is really really important and dangerous. We are all going to die if we don’t do take really really drastic actions.
