they can’t force people to buy stuff.......if the housing market collapses, then we’ll know the shit has really hit the fan.

On average, the city’s 44,526 employees received pay and perks costing taxpayers $131,335 apiece. Four out of ten – 18,749 city workers – received a compensation package exceeding $150,000 per year. Forbes

Gee, I wonder what's the problem with the city's finances?

The Navy stationed me in the Bay Area three times and in So. Cal three times in the 60's, 70's and 80's. That's when I first heard LA/SD types curse those "Frisco Snobs". By the way, SF naties hate the moniker "Frisco". I use it often when I'm there.

Well knowing how whacked out Gov. Grusome is he’d make some sort of mandate that people have to buy certain stuff; show sales slips to the “enforcers” to show you obeyed.

Hey, if they don't want law and order, they shouldn't even have voted for Republicans, wait, what?

Retail sales plunge because nobody is coming into the city and you can shoplift up to $900 worth of stuff without being prosecuted. No sales taxes paid on shoplifted stuff either.

The CA GOP is dead, and has been for years. Completely useless. They are a part of the problem of why CA has sunk into complete failure. I applied for unemployment 3 months ago. Can’t get a response from the EDD. My email to the useless governor: I applied for unemployment on July 3. I am still waiting. Fortunately I have savings so I have not lost my house. How the hell do you accept what is going on with EDD? It is a complete failure, and it was before your stupid imposed shut down caused this disaster. Can you at least try and end your leftist insanity and help the people of CA? I know you don’t give a damn, but I am one of the taxpayers who is looking for jobs outside of CA. I have lived here for over 40 years and seen it turn into a complete dump because of politicians like you. It seems clear nothing will help us. The only solution is to leave. Hope you hire a few economists who help you understand that when you lose your tax base, you can’t pay all of your obligations. Oh never mind of course you do not understand basic economics. You are a leftist.

That was three months ago and still nothing? You think it may be because the Unemployment Office won’t open for fear of getting infected?

"San Francisco is ranked 9th for Billionaires, according to Forbes. "

I don't know where I got my info....I think Forbes is probably more reliable. I'll accept the Forbes number.

Who does Forbes say is number one?

Who does Forbes say is number one?

1. New York
2. Hong Kong
3. Moscow
4. Beijing
5. London
6. Shanghai
7. Shenzen
8. Mumbai
9. San Francisco
10. Singapore

I haven't looked into it in detail, though, maybe per capita SF is number one (it is a relatively small city compared to the others).
