The fourth lie is that a mask will keep you from getting the coronavirus. The CDC says that 85% of people who wear a mask most or all of the time get the corona virus anyway.

The masks being worn by the majority of people do almost nothing to protect the wearer.

They do a reasonable job of protecting others from the wearer, should the wearer have just contracted the virus and isn't showing symptoms yet.

Like the article says ...

Asymptomatic carriers have a very low viral load in their system, making it virtually impossible to pass the virus on to another person. Even in the rare cases that they might be able to pass it on, it is highly unlikely if they don’t have symptoms, meaning they are not coughing, sneezing or wheezing.

You mean like using a chain link fence to keep out mosquitoes?

There’s more of that magic one way fabric that keeps virus from going out but lets it in freely....

This is the biggest lie of all! It's like a saying coitus interruptus will do a reasonable job of keeping others to being only a little bit pregnant.
