Business Groups Urge Trump to Withdraw Order on Diversity Training.
Wall Street Journal ^ | October 15, 2020 | Khadeeja Safdar and Lauren Weber

More than 150 business and nonprofit groups, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, are asking President Trump to withdraw his executive order that puts a limit on some diversity training.

In a letter sent to the White House Thursday, the groups said that the order creates confusion, leads to unnecessary investigations and hinders employers from combating workplace discrimination.

The group said the order “is already having a broadly chilling effect on legitimate” diversity training and its ambiguity could lead to unwarranted complaints and investigations.

The executive order, issued on Sept. 22, prohibits federal agencies, companies with federal contracts and recipients of federal grants from participating in training that “promotes race or sex-stereotyping or scapegoating.” The Trump administration threatens to suspend or cancel federal contracts with companies that violate the order.

A senior administration official defended the order on Thursday, referring to the training at issue as “indoctrination sessions” that force some people to apologize “for the color of their skin.”

A Sept. 28 memo from Russell Vought, director of the Office of Management and Budget, encouraged federal agencies to review diversity training with the terms “critical race theory,” “white privilege,” “intersectionality,” “systemic racism,” “positionality,” “racial humility” and “unconscious bias.” The agency overseeing federal contractors in late September launched a hotline for workers to report their companies for potentially violating the order.

Employers are concerned that the hotline “will invite nonmeritorious complaints from employees who may be disgruntled about a range of different matters,” Thursday’s letter to the White House said. The hotline had received around 60 calls as of late last week, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

Who needs diversity training? All the White CEOs & COTBs should resign and be replaced by minorities. Problem solved.

Almost thou persuadest me to be woke.

Another term for a disgruntled employee calling a hotline is “whistle blower.” I thought whistle blowers were good and needed protection. Wasn’t that the case during the impeachment proceedings?

There is no such thing as legitimate diversity training. All diversity training is a waste of time money and an imposition of incivility on a civil society. LIBS are such fascist, racist oafs.

This is perhaps one of the greatest things President Trump has done!!! The first step in destroying the Social Justice Cult is to target those indoctrinating it ! One can only hope this can be linked to Federal Funding for schools and universities.

There’s big money in diversity training. It’s a sweet gig - a mandatory audience, no disagreement allowed, mouth a few racist platitudes and pull in six figures. Send outrage mobs against the dissenters. Who wouldn’t want a scam like that to be protected? Other than its victims, of course...

The reason they want this is because they think that this training gives them some relief from liability if the are sued on discrimination grounds. They think this allows them to shift the blame to an hapless employee. They plaintiff wants to go after the deep pockets that’s the employer. Wrecking the live of some supervisor is just gravy.

Let those companies wishing to perpetrate lies, lost valuable production time, and fill that time with lies and in-your-endos do it on their own.

I’ve been through this crap and it has the validity of writings by Velikovsky, or the NYT.

I cannot remember one thing I learned from those forced “diversity” training classes.

I do remember in one class, a lady demanded I pronounce her ethnic name without an accent. I couldn’t do it to her liking. Then she asked me my name. I went all ethnic on her. She agreed we could call each other by our Americanized names.

150—out of how many?

150 in a country this size ia an entirely negligible number.
