Yes, but they’re using a definition for “case” that’s never been used before, plus testing vast numbers of asymptomatic people and counting positives a case (if you even trust the tests themselves).
If they handled other flu seasons like this, it’d look like this every year, or at least a lot less unique than it does now.
And don't forget multiple tests being counted as multiple "cases". And people who left the line due to long wait times being advised by letter 3 days later that they "tested positive". And just flat-out inflating of numbers because people are stupid enough or weak enough to believe anything they're told by the Tee-Vee.
